Terms and Conditions

Discussions, sessions and contracts between clients and ourselves are completely confidential and we do not disclose any information to other parties unless legally bound to do so.

Such cases may include where we thought that our client may be at risk of self-harm or harm to others, or in the case of child protection or other criminal cases where we would be held liable for withholding information in civil or criminal Court Proceedings.

These terms will be discussed at the beginning of any contract, since in some cases we may advise that it would be useful to share the contents of particular Reports or encounters with others, ie in the case of children, where it may be useful to share Reports with teachers to support their work in schools or with adults where it would be useful to help employers to support them in the workplace. It would be entirely up to you whether you chose to accept such advice.

In some cases, our services may be commissioned by organisations who will expect us to report to them. However, we will only pass on information which has the consent of the client, who must make this clear before a Report is written.

If you need to cancel or postpone an appointment please provide as much notice as possible and we will try to re-schedule the appointment as soon as possible. Cancellations for an appointment within 24 hours will be charged for based on the length of time quoted for that appointment but not for the fully contracted piece of work.

We will contact you with as much notice as possible if we need to cancel or postpone an appointment or change a Report date.

Invoices will be sent within 2 weeks of an appointment, training event or any other verbal consultation agreed and must be paid within 28 days of the Invoice date.

Where is Report is to be prepared for a Private Individual, an Organisation or in a Legal Case, the Invoice will usually be sent with the Report or very soon afterwards. Again the Invoice must be paid within 28 days of the Invoice date.

In Legal Cases, (Tribunal or Child or Family Proceedings cases), the fees and timescales will be agreed at the time of the Commission and will be guided by the Legal Services Commission guidelines. Fees can be apportioned between all parties concerned.

If an Insurance Company is to pay for your fee, then you as the Policy Holder are responsible for any shortfall in payment.

Fees can be paid in cash, by cheque or preferably by bank transfer.
