My current rate is fixed at £60 per hour for consultation, assessment, design of remedial programmes and follow-up work. Assessing a young person and completing a full Report takes me around 7 hours of work and that includes tailor made support recommendations for school. A Report that is simply used to baseline a young person’s cognitive strengths and weaknesses, without any interpretation or recommendations would be. Similarly a Literacy assessment, involving a Reading age calculation, Spelling age calculation and Reading comprehension age or a Numeracy Assessment takes far less time and costs less.

If I am travelling to a destination that exceeds 30 minutes then I charge half-rate for travelling time. I also charge for travel at 50 pence per mile and there is a small surcharge to cover psychometric test materials (each test costs me £2-£3) depending on how many different tests I use in the course of assessment.

Reports therefore normal range between £350 and £750 depending on the degree of assessment required.

Attendance at Reviews or Meetings cost the same as my test rate £60 and the same charge for preparation work as a result of a meeting.

I shall also endeavour to turn around all my Reports within 10 days, although where information is sought from home and school this will take longer since it is dependent on their response times.

I can also deliver tailor made training or special topic talks at lower rates than my competitors are currently charging, although the fees increase as the numbers attending increase and are dependent on day and time of day. Please contact me for further details. Training at the weekend is charged at a higher rate by agreement.

Fees for Legal Work

£75 per hour for face to face contacts, reading of papers and relevant literature, research, collation of data and writing of reports.

60 pence per mile for travel, measured from the Company's base, plus expenses as required

£5 per psychometric questionnaire used, plus other materials as required

£500 per day or part thereof for attendance in Court or at a Tribunal, plus travel and accommodation costs where applicable

Upto 10% of the cost to have the Report typed (as necessary)

A detailed Estimate of Charges will be provided before undertaking any assessment and I will require funding to be approved in advance. Payment is required within 28 days of the Report being completed
